Survey: Subdivision Homeowners Survey ? 4/08

Baxter Lakes Subdivision Homeowners Survey – April 2008 Earlier this year the Baxter Lakes Board of Trustees solicited input from all homeowners regarding major projects in the neighborhood. Responses were received from 160 of 309 homeowners. Homeowners were asked to rank the projects with “1” being the highest priority; those responses are tabulated below. Many homeowners just checked their top few projects and did not rank them; those responses were also tabulated. Many suggestions were added to the cards; a selection of those is also shown. The Board thanks you for your responses.

Total # cards received: 160

Selected Comments from cards:

- Too much of our assessment goes to Lake projects

- Add more stop signs on Summer Lake

- Boxwoods/ Stone pillars on Baxter

- Use drought resistant plants on monuments

- Clean up shore of lake

- None of these projects are necessary

- Benches are nice but they get vandalized (more than 1 card)

- Clean leaves & branches in common ground behind my house

- Redesign entrance signs-NO Ducks!

- Very few live around lake (2 cards)

- Use your "bully pulpit" to have homeowners clean up their property. It's starting to look like Overland or Meachum Park. On a drive down the street you can pick out 100 properties that need lawn & house maintenance, multi-families, cars parked in street because garage is full. Start enforcing by-laws.

- Brush hogging common ground behind my house.

- Create‘buffer zone' of no fertilizer to reduce algae growth in lakes

- Hire responsible teenagers to power wash walking paths, during peak ‘poop' season.

- Seek donations before levying assessment, some may donate for benches & have their name on it.

- Ask for volunteers to work on landscaping.

- I am wondering how many residents use lake outside of people who live around it.
