Place lights or a TV on a timer so it appears someone is home.

Avoid leaving displays of gifts in view of open windows.

When sending Christmas cards with money, gift cards, etc. send them from the post office rather than putting them in your mailbox.

When shopping, do not overload yourself or your vehicle with gifts.

Never leave your purse in the car, and keep it on your person at all times. Avoid leaving purses in shopping carts, etc. while you are shopping.

Shop with a "buddy", or check in with family members if you are going to be out all day.

Park in well lit areas.
