SPECIAL NOTICE FROM CHESTERFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT (2-16-2010)

On Tuesday ( 02-16-10) during the overnight hours there were two burglaries that occurred in the Baxter Lakes Subdivision.  One incident occurred in the 15500 block of Summer Ridge, where an open garage was entered and a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the garage.  A neighbor later recovered the purse in their back yard but the wallet was missing.

The other incident occurred in the 15600 block of Summer Ridge, where an open garage was entered and the suspect entered the house and stole silver from the dining room. Please notify the residents to make sure their garage doors are closed and valuables taken out of their vehicles even when they are parked in the garage.

It is always a good idea to lock the door leading from the garage to inside of the residence as well.  Remind them to notify the police department at any hour if they notice a suspicious person, vehicle or activity in the neighborhood.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

 Sincerely,

 Police Officer Kim Huffman
